Oby is an experienced and dedicated artist based in Dorset in the South West of England. He specializes in caricatures, cartoons, drawings and illustrations.
Born In Plymouth, his love of drawing came at an early age, inspired by what he saw in the Beano and Dandy comics. Whilst young he was introduced to the famous artist, Robert Lenkiewicz. Inspired by watching Lenkiewicz produce masterful pencil sketches, Oby would dash home to try and copy Lenkiewicz's style and technique. Years later, Oby was pleased to present some of his own artwork to Lenkiewicz, and was thrilled by the words of praise that he received.
Oby is a highly experienced editorial cartoonist and illustrator. He has produced work for a number of publications, including The Sun newspaper.
30 years after his early inspirations, Oby now has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of caricatures and cartoons. His proudest moments came in 2006 and 2007 when he was invited to draw Prince Harry and Prince William.
All caricatures and cartoons are hand drawn originals. Unlike many others, Oby does not use computer generated images in his work.
